I've seen some interesting "Tear-drop" style trailers recently, none behind a vanagon, but other small vehicles are using them. These, and I have seen a few different types, usually have a door at the curb side and another "hatch" on the back/top. Some have a cargo space back there and some have a cooking area built into that area. They look pretty well made (from a distance) and have semi-normal sized wheels. The ones I've seen seem about 6 feet high and maybe 8' long.. Interesting side fact: Last I heard, you need no license or registration for utility trailers in Oregon, and they are often-swiped there...Also, in Washington state, you have to have a vehicle license for a slide-in camper..No wheels, no motor, but you still must buy a separate vehicle plate for the camper..?
