I actually agree with this to a certain extent - however it sure doesn't
make it any easier for those of us who have to suffer through it. <<

 No, it doesn't make it easier. My daily driver, an EV MV, actually gets
worse mileage than my Vanagon. That's what 20 years of technology have done.
I'd love for gas to drop back to $1.98 a gallon but I bet if it did
Americans would rush out to buy back all those cheap used SUV's out there
and we'd can all this research we are doing into real bio-fuels (not corn)
and making those capacitor type batteries...
