Subject:Re: Train YOUR vehicles to get better gas mileage (it's Fryeday)

hi alan, it's not a dumb question really,
but the answer is an emphatic NO.
not even slightly.
if I wrote about comparing 90's era Subaru engine management systems,
and contrasted that to what a water boxer vanagon has for engine
management........
well.............the waterboxer is incredibly crude compared to anything
in the 90's.
and on 2000 era cars............
say the ECU blows out, you don't just get a new one and pop it in, like
you could for a Waterboxer Vanagon or a 90's era Subaru engine and ECU.
A super modern ECU needs to be 'flashed' ............like by a
dealership before it can interact with the engine.
