If you have the time and want a real adventure, take the road north of Baie Comeau Quebec through Labrador. http://www.pauldottrip.com/2006_atlantic_canada/western_and_central_labrado.html And in Newfoundland, camp on the cliffs in Twillingate and go to Gros Morne national park. http://www.pauldottrip.com/2006/seabreeze/ Go to as many smaller, coastal towns as you can. The people are super friendly and the towns are gorgeous. Camp anywhere you like, the whole province is pretty much a campground. >We are planning a trip to "the Rock" from eastern Ontario in mid july.
