RE: The idea with a bridge is that IT'S antenna is really powerful, it
doesn't matter if the devices have built in cards. The bridge captures the
weak signal thehn distributes it again, closer, so the samller weaker
internal antennas can find it.

If I understand what you are saying then the 'bridge' could be though of as
a local repeater?  Good antenna then re-broadcast the signal?
