The easiest way to improve mileage would be to install one of the vw factory
aerodynamic fronts for westies. They are kind of hard to get though since
they are NLA. I have been trying to get one to make replicas of it but no
luck so far. They are plenty in Europe, but always on very nice looking vans
that are not junkers.
