I was thinking about putting bamboo flooring in my 84 westy and had a few questions about what others have done.  
 
Are you just taking out the carpet and laying down the wood or removing the sub floor and then putting down the wood flooring?  
 
Also when using wood what are you using for the opening kick at the sliding door?  Any pics or ideas would be appreciated.
