Yes, as was mentioned, I was referring to the temperature of the air as
measured at the outlet vents.  I did indeed use a little cooking
thermometer.

btw:  one of the "coolest" things I like about the Vanagon AC is that I can
direct the vents behind the drivers seat to point at my neck, so I get
sandwiched by cool cool breezes, baby
