When I did this, mine were really stuck on. I spent hours banging with a hammer with no success. Then I tried to cut in to the rusty groove a little bit with a pick/knife/whatever and soaked it a lot with pb blaster. The next day, 5 minutes of hard work with the hammer got them off. -Wes On Thu, Jul 3, 2008 at 11:21 AM, Ben Cichowski <aquasheck@hotmail.com> wrote: > Hey All, > > I tend to breeze through the "difficult" stuff and then have trouble with > the "easy" stuff. > > Does anyone have a good tip for removing the brake drums (I have an 88 > Vanagon). > > I typically just give a few bangs around the outside and off the drum > comes....maybe I didn't bang enough (started getting self conscience as it > was midnight and I didn't want to wake the neighbors) > > But, if anyone has a better tip, please share. > > Cheers, > Ben > '88 Wolfsburg ej22 > > _________________________________________________________________ > Do more with your photos with Windows Live Photo Gallery. > http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_Wave2_photos_022008
