As has been said already it's not that difficult. Some pointers. Be careful of the brake fluid reservoir when removing the dash. Don't forget the screws "hidden" behind the door at the front pillar. At top front of dash, don't undo the bigger fasteners. They're for the wipers. Just remove the smaller screws. Cheers, Neil. I had it working well but the fan went (ground to a stop and blew the fuse. It appears that it was installed by removing the dash. Looking at Haynes and the Bentley, removal will be no fun at all! What really worries me is I my not be able to get a new fan anyway. > Anybody familiar with these ACs or an easier dash removal? -85 Westfalia "Folly" > _________________________________________________________________ > Making the world a better place one message at a time. > http://www.imtalkathon.com/?source=EML_WLH_Talkathon_BetterPlace -- Neil Nicholson '81 JettaWesty "Jaco http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-cylinder-gas-engines http://web.mac.com/tubaneil http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/
