I just reinforce the inside of the broken nipple (whether it's on the tank itself, or one of the valves or vent tees) with a snug fitting piece of metal tubing. Then I use a 'cut and knead' epoxy putty to make neat exterior reinforcement. Reassemble as normal when hardened. Works good, lasts a long time, stronger that stock. Should hold up to vacuum, pressure or exposure to fuel, oil, etc. Mike B. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Allan Streib" <streib@CS.INDIANA.EDU> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, July 23, 2008 12:03 PM Subject: Re: broke fuel expansion vent valve > "Jeff Lincoln" <magikvw@gmail.com> said: > >> Like I said we haven't gottne to it yet ourselves but as I understand it >> is >> repairable.
