To slightly choke off water flow on a '77 Westy I had once, I put a hose
clamp in the middle of the hose from pump to faucet and restricted it just a
bit. I did consider that it might strain the pump (which obviously isn't
designed for such a thing), but took my chances anyway.  When I sold the
camper several years later, the pump was still going strong.
