People have done this before - it is more or less a plug and play even with some minor fabrication from what I understand. Beside the fuel filler location there is some welding required for the steering rack and for the mounting points for the drive shaft protection. If I can install Unimog u435 axles on a Volkswagen LT then this is certainly possible for you to install Syncro bits on a 2WD! :-) David Marshall http://www.hasenwerk.ca Box 4153, Quesnel BC, Canada V2J 3J On Tue, July 29, 2008 11:09, John Carpenter wrote: > > Hi All, > This is a bit of a double post, as I just joined the Syncro list, > and posted it there. > But, I also wanted to post my 2WD to Syncro project here > for those who have already accomplished this conversion, > and for those who my be interested in doing it. > I really would appreciate all & any help I can get on this project, > as I'm seriously stumbling around in the dark on this one !!! :o) > > I have included a link to some photos of what I've got so far. > Thanks, > John C... > SLC, UT > > Hi All, > Just joined the Syncro list ! :o) > &&& I have to admit ...
