Personally I hate the stuff.  Leaves a disgusting coat of silicone
all over everything.  There's no way it can replace the plasticizers
compounded into the plastic when it's made, and I sincerely doubt it
has any other good effect either.  Except turning surfaces into shiny
slippery siliconey dust-magnets, if you consider that a good effect.
