Subject:Re: Black paint for bumpers

I don't recall anyone here on the list telling you you had to use police car
black - that was the only thing your paint shop had to offer. You received
advice from the cheap side, like me, advising you that Krylon satin black
from a rattle can worked well. The other recomendations you received were
that the paint shop should be able to find you a nice satin black for your
bumpers and that "any quality satin black" would work/loook good. The actual
paint code for the actual black VW used on the bumpers seemed unavailable to
everyone.

I have never taken a vehicle to a paint shop to have it painted. What I do
know is that if I did go to a shop and they were not able to help me find
something that seems as simple as a quality Satin Black - I would run, not
walk, to a different paint shop.

Dude, I'm not trying to blast you and I'm not trying to start anything here
but your message seems to imply that the list "blew you off" in some way and
if that is the case I think that's unfair. You asked a question and you were
given honest advice.

I hope you find the paint you are looking for.

Thanks,

Jeff
