I've had really good results with the Krylon Fusion spray cans...in a satin black finish.
I just painted my front door handles and wiper blades...scuffed them up, then a primer coat, then several coats with light sanding between, then some polish and wax.  They look just right and have held up really great with no chips in the few months since I've put them back on the van.
