I recently (like lunchtime today) acquired among other things a radiator/fan/shroud/AC condenser "assembly" from good old Unca Joel. Thanks, Joel! My question is, is this the one I want for installing in my 83 diesel (when I get my turbo back in) for the Behr AC setup? I think it is an 86. It has the metal fan shroud and what looks to be the same temp switch for the fan as is on my 90. Just wondering. Also, I have the Behr condensor (I need to spend about a week on it with a fin straightener) which I have heard is more efficient than the stock vanagon unit. Is this so? In light of the fact than the ones made now (I saw the ackit.com thread a few days ago) should I consider chucking them both for an newer model? Thanks, Jim
