Illegal to plug a tire? Sidewalls, yes, but the tread area? That's news to
me! What state? I've had several tires plugged by my local tire shop without
question. Also plugged a tire myself and it's been fine for 16k miles.
Should I be taking this to the tire shop to be patched?
