Real simple basic what is allowed and how to repair tires. The combination plug/patch is the best way to go. A plug alone will evenatually allow air to get between the layers. A patch oly will allow water to get between the layers from the outside, rusting and expanding the steel belts http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/us/en/continental/automobile/themes/contiacademy/drivers_ed/tire_repair_en.pdf Dennis >From: Keith Ovregaard <kovregaard@GMAIL.COM> >Reply-To: Keith Ovregaard <kovregaard@GMAIL.COM> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: Trip Contingencies >Date: Mon, 25 Aug 2008 09:11:16 -0700 > >Illegal to plug a tire?
