With regard to the original question, I am.

I'm not ignoring you all, I'm listening.  Haven't come to any
conclusions yet, but I AM listening.

One request though. Well, two...

1.) trim, trim, trim.  We are all aware of what's gone before.
2.) can we have just one subject for this "subject"? So far we have,
"Who is the Manager of this list?", "Modernizing the list redux", and
"Suggestions/questions" all related to this one discussion.  Makes it
a bee-atch to sort. Pick a subject and stick with it please.
