    It occurred to me how it might also reduce Vanagon engine fires two
fold. The reduced engine compartment  heat might decrease the rapid
deterioration  of the fuel lines and second (long shot), reduce the
volatility of any gasoline that has erupted long enough for the driver
to get stopped.
