Department of Travel Safety? Was (or is) there such a thing?

Reminds me of The Truman Show where the travel agent's office had posters
of planes being struck by lightning ("Don't forget to buy travel
insurance!") and other fearsome warnings of the horrible things that will
happen if you Leave Home.
