Update:

I thought I had it figured that it was the oxygen sensor. Joe wrote
and said "not so fast... that just means it's in open loop mode."

So here's what I did: I unplugged the Temp II sensor and shorted the
leads with a paper clip per Ken Lewis. Then I started the car. It took
longer than a minute, but it began running poorly and cam within a few
seconds of stalling when I unplugged the O2 sensor and it came back to
life in 5 or 10 seconds.

Does this prove anything definitively?
