Did any of the current running down the rope recharge the battery at the same time!!! That would surely be a bonus! Hope those lines were just cable and phone, as it sure is risky to mess with the electricity. You could have ended up with a Volts-wagon! Make a long story short we had about a 40' tree that had split and was resting on the power line from the pole to our house. We tied a heavy duty rope to the tree and threw it over a very large nearby tree and then tied the other end to tow loop on the back of my bus - I then used the bus to stand the tree up off the lines so it could be cut down properly. I know it that could have been accomplished with many other vehicles - but the bus was all we had and now I can add another experience to my rapidly increasing bus stories! Yay for useful Vanagons. -- Thanks, Jeff '90 Carat (Grover) '86 (We call this one Parts) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus
