The Bosch Platinum plus 4 sparkplugs that I have in my '84 and '85
Vanagons (the '85 now has a 2.1 engine) are the 4477 plugs.

I've been using plus 4s since 2001 and they are now the only ones I will
buy for my wasserboxers.  I get easier (quicker) starts, smoother
running, and slightly better gas mileage with them.
