It's very good to talk to your cars. It most definitely has an affect of making them feel appreciated and cared about, and they will return more 'faith' from just talking to them. Perfect name too, for 'a large German girl.' oh yeah.........one friend - his 83 Adventurewagon .......is named Hula Girl. And there's a wiggly grass-skirted hula thing on the dash too. His other , very brown, 'homeless' ( it's for sale too, cheap ) 84 GL is named Bruinhilda. I might call it Brownhilda though. all fun ! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Adams" <oldmanbmxr@YAHOO.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2008 2:15 PM Subject: Re: Vehicle Names > My girls named my 87 syncro Gretchen - They thought it sounded like a > large german girl. > > The name has stuck and now we all refer to her that way, The worst part is > I find myself talking to her when we are all alone on a drive somewhere ! > If she isnt driving/running just right I will ask her...
