I went to their main page, clicked the "help" link, and entered "wrong email." The second answer was this: "Q: I sent money to the wrong email address, but the payment is completed. What do I do? "A: PayPal cannot reverse payments that have been claimed. We recommend that you contact your recipient directly and make arrangements to have the money refunded to you via PayPal or another method of your choosing." I Google'd for "paypal cancel payment," and found this on eBay ( http://forums.ebay.com.sg/thread.jspa?threadID=600000616 ): "Can I cancel a payment that I've already sent? "You can cancel only unclaimed payments. If your payment is complete, please contact the recipient of the payment to request a refund. "Unclaimed payments can be canceled for the following reasons: A payment sent to an email address is not associated with a PayPal account. Once the email address is added to a PayPal account, the payment is automatically credited to the balance of that account. "A payment is sent to a recipient with an unconfirmed email address. For security reasons, PayPal can only credit payments sent to a confirmed email address." So, if you sent it to an email address which has a PayPal account, it's your problem, and you'll have to convince that person to send the money back to you. If it's unclaimed, you may be able to cancel it yourself. I think you do so by clicking on the "detail" link from where the transaction displays in your PayPal account. Here are PayPal's phone numbers: +1-402-935-7733 (Personal Accounts) +1-402-935-2057 (Personal Accounts)
