Stephen, sorry to hear about your deer collision. Glad you're OK.

There used to be sets of little plastic whistles for sale that you
could glue under the front bumper which put out an ultrasonic sound to
help reduce these types of accidents. I used them for a couple of
years, and as I recall, it seemed the deer stayed motionless so you
could just go around them. Cattle, however, are immune (or deaf), but
the calves will really jump around as you go by!
