So, can anybody explain something to me. Last week I had to stay at my mother's (ambulatory surgery), and she had a Consumer Report laying around. Well, I read about VWs and that engine was about unreliability. I don't like the magazine, to me they're biased (very). I do know my cousins '99 Golf 2.0 burns oil, but what is it about the 1.8T that gave CR such a low opinion about it? -- Hctor 1990 Carat 'Ursula' On Wed, Oct 8, 2008 at 8:07 PM, Dug Smith <dug@dugbert.com> wrote: > Check out: > < > http://www.stephansautohaus.com/VWVANAGONDIVISION/VWVanagonConversionEngines/tabid/61/Default.aspx > > > > Stephan's Syncro Westy has the 1.8T in it, but he's raised the deck lid to > clear it. > > toodle pip, > -- > Dug Smith | Terry Pratchett: It's almost > (mailto:dug@dugbert.com) | impossible to ride a rock and roll > (http://www.dugbert.com) | motorbike and stay on for three verses. >
