Hi all. Upon inspecting the long brake line from front to back on my '81, there is actually only a few spots of surface rust. I know it will need replacing at some point, but seems fine for now. i.e. most of the green paint is ok and I don't feel/see any pitting. So..... If I paint these spots (*light* sanding prep) with a rust inhibitor paint, will that actually slow down the rust? Anyone done this? Kind of hard to get at the portion over the gas tank, but I'm pretty sure I can get in there with a small paint brush.
