About 2 years ago, my brother's '91 Plymouth Acclaim was totaled due to
a rear end collision.  The other party's insurance company paid $1,700
and my brother (who lives with me) paid the insurance company $20.00 for
the car and continued to drive it.  I bought a used trunk lid,
taillights, and the metal piece between the trunk lid and the back glass
for $100.00.  A bottle jack, a BFH, and about an hour's time and the car
was back to where it passes safety checks and is still in use.
