I have a manual tranny that came out of an 86 Westy that encountered a medium grade engine fire. The outide of the tranny looks messy, but the transmission worked fine before the fire. Can I just change the oil and externally accessible rubber seals? If so, does anyone have a list of externally accessible rubber/gaskets I need to buy? Or do I have to open up the entire gearbox? photo here: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/baboonia/vanagon/IMG_0319.jpg
