Since the goo is unidentified, I am wondering if it is more concentrated at
the lowest point in the sleeve and hose run. Perhaps some
oil/dirt/antifreeze/PS fluid/beer has entered the open end and slowly, over
time, migrated and collected near the lowest point? This, as opposed to
deterioration of the sleeve and fuel line?
