>>Yeah, I only tailgate when that f^*^&@ idiot in front of me is >>pissing me off. And I only pass on a solid yellow when the jerk in front of me is doing that lame speed limit. Oh yeah, that stupid flashing red lights on the school bus pisses me off too. I get SOO MAD. I usually have to drive around it on someone's lawn. >I didn't know you live in the Washington DC area!! :) true story ... a sergeant in the army that i knew was stationed in wash dc and he and his family only had one car. since the government doesn't see fit to pay military folks enough to be able to live in wash dc area, his wife had to find a job. so they needed two cars. he found an $800 cadillac ... cheapest car he could find that was running and wasn't completely rusted out. only thing was .... the reason it wasn't rusted out ... was cause every fender and door and hood and trunk had already been replaced. from various cars from the junkyard. so NONE of the fenders, doors, hood, trunk matched in color! (sort of like Johnny Cash's 57-58-59-60 Cadillac in the song). in addition, it had a 6x6 redwood post as the rear bumper. :) now, the funny thing was ... NOBODY would tailgate him. they wouldn't pull out in front of him ... nobody would even stay next to him on the beltway. he said it was the most comfortable driving he'd ever done. :) unca joel ------------------------------------------------------------ + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON + in the body of the message. ------------------------------------------------------------
