Thanks to the fantastic advice from everyone on the list who'd previously
experienced my insurance company woes, I've been informed by the adjuster
that my insurance company has "reconsidered the value of the Vanagon given
the low engine miles and extremely clean overall condition of the vehicle"
and will in fact be paying for all of the repairs!

NOT ONLY THAT, but they're also paying for a comprehensive paint job to
refinish the vehicle!

*Much* thanks to Dave in MD who's been instrumental thus far in the process
(and will, come to find out, be compensated by the insurance company for
donor parts).

Honestly Dave, without your help and advice there may well have been one
less Vanagon on the road!

No specific word yet regarding timing, given that Blackbeard will be towed
to the mechanic's on Monday for the mechanical portion of the final estimate
(insurance is paying for the tow, too).

BUT it seems as though my efforts have paid off!
