You're right.  I don't mean that everyone thinks that.  But surely I was
a bit confused for a while by the fact my unsuccessful searches with
google, and I'm sure there are others out there that are assuming google
is working fine whenever they search using it, since it gives no
indication that its not.  I see lots of emails suggesting people search
the archives with google, without pointing out that this doesn't
actually reliably find messages.
