I think I'd unbolt it rather than cut it off, unless you mean to cut below the roof line in the window area, and get a whole poptop installed on the metal roof portion, in one big piece. I know of an air-cooled vanagon with a poptop still on it, in Oregon. Scott speaking of that........the early ones have the tent stapled to the roof, and after a few years they went to screws for attachment..........a better set up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Miller" <mwmiller@CWNET.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2008 8:35 PM Subject: Pop-top wanted > Vannites, > > My son thinks he can do the top swap so I'm looking for a pop top van to > cut > the top off of. > > I'm in the San Francisco area, he's down the coast in Paso Robles so any > van > in those areas would be good. > > Aristotle, how much you want for that van of yours, the one with the ice > trays? > > Mike > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to > + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON > + in the body of the message. > ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON + in the body of the message. ------------------------------------------------------------
