That depends on whose you are installing. Ours require no sealer at all; they just slde on, grip with the internal aluminum clips, and you're done. Our competitors' seals require adhesive at least for the front section. Clear silicone or auto trim/weatherstrip adhesive will usually work. Those sections that have metal clips should hold without the need for adhesive. Poptop seals were the Bus Depot's very first in-house-designed product over a decade ago. While our competitors simply repackage generic weatherstrip as "poptop seal", ours are designed specifically for VW poptops. Besides not requiring any glue at all, they perform as well as the original German design (something which cannot be said of the others). The main section seals better, and the luggage rack section allows proper rainwater drainage. They also look closer to stock. And unlike the others, our luggage rack seal can be installed without removing the luggage rack. http://busdepot.com/details/canvas.jsp (scroll half way down) - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com ------------------------------------------------------------ + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON + in the body of the message. ------------------------------------------------------------
