Yeah, try some JB weld and a sheet metal screw.
Maybe a stainless screw won't corrode away.
Make sure the screw doesn't poke into the plates.

Drain some acid from the battery if the hole is below the water line.

Is there a way to repair a hole I my battery, I drilled a 1/8 in. hole in
the side of my battery near the bottom by mistake, is there anyway to repair
it. I thought of epoxy and a screw? If not any recommendations for a
