The engine hasn't run in about two years. He had rebuilt it and after less than 200 miles he said the some of the lifters would not inflate (his word, I believe he meant pump up). After pulling and trying to fix them he still had the same problem so he left it sitting. Actually it was his son's who wet into the military so it wasn't tended to. He did tell me he treated the fuel when he parked it in the yard and even put poison around the tires so mice would move in. He didn't want see the the van rot away in the yard so he decided it should be sold to someone who could use it. -Mark On Dec 22, 2008, at 9:36 PM, Allan Streib wrote: > Scott Daniel - Turbovans <scottdaniel@TURBOVANS.COM> writes: > >> As you may know you absolutely can't tow it with the axles turning, >> if >> it has an automatic trans. > > If the motor runs, and you're only towing it an hour or two, what > about > towing it with the motor running and the transmission in neutral? > That's a trick that works on some cars but not sure about the Vanagon? > > Allan > -- > 1991 Vanagon GL
