Date: Tue, 30 Dec 2008 17:43:02 -0800 From: Alistair Bell <albell@SHAW.CA> Well, I wouldn't wish this on anyone... Got hit at an intersection by a front end loader on Dec 20 (night, snowstorm). No injury to me, but left rear quarter and front end of my van quite damaged. I fear it will be written off. I have appt with ICBC on the 8th Jan, will find out more about recompense then. Its a pretty shocking event, sudden, violent, and I was very lucky to not be hurt. It does hurt, however, to have your beloved van smacked so hard :) I have a feeling I will be in the market for a new van, "sweet are the uses for adversity" I keep repeating myself. I'd like to replace the van with a late model syncro westy, it is my dream ride, so if anyone in BC has, or knows of one for sale, drop me a line. -------------- Alistair, OUCH! On all parts..... Sorry to hear of your loss. You and your Van had a wonderful life together. The bombastic warrior part of my masculinity (the stupid part) says: Hah! Took a big honk-en front end loader to take us out... and off the road..... 8>) I'll keep my eagle-eye open for that sweet Syncro ride that's in your future..... regards for 2009, Phil Z.
