One company (http://www.vwelevation.com/) makes a copy of the mosaic kit to allow pop top addition to tin roofs without cutting the big hole and attendant crossbraces etc. Has a molded bed area to account for roof curvature and a 2 piece bed fold out. Looks like a credible way to go. Search on T3 forums here for more info http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/ forum/ ie http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=33040 shows the difference in the overhead cupboard. I also have the flat bar that is welded into the roof in a westy............I have the whole metal roof the westy top came with...... so you'd be working exactly with what the factory did. And I have the upper flat floor or bed area, included with the top. the front portion of course, brackets, support bar, but no tent. I dont like it and want to put on the entire Westy pop top. Nothing much is clear to me anyway so join the crowd.
