Update. I pulled the Temp II sensor. It didn't die but it idled at about 3000RPM and had poor power so I plugged it back in. I then unplugged the O2 sensor. It ran like a charm and did not die. As a matter of fact, it runs better now than it has since I bought it. The idle has always been around 1100RPM after warmup (higher when cold) and now it hovers around 800RPM. Nice and smooth! Looks like I need a new O2 sensor. Oddly the one in there was fairly new and couldn't have more than a couple thousand miles on it per the PO. I did note that he had spliced the current sensor into the existing wires. Obviously not an OEM part. Thanks for the input!
