More important than collecting if something happens to your van is the liability if your van hurts someone else. Read the final contract very carefully including restrictions. Consider also your liability when camping. My RV policy states that someone at my campsite is covered. When you are in a campsite you are responsible for that area same as renting an apartment. A situation like this may default to your homeowners insurance as most auto policies will not cover this. Restrictions I've seen in addition to mileage is times of day, (rush hours), to/from work or any business use, and one of my favorites is no parades, rallies, group events.

Declared value..just picked a number and sent them pictures with a build
sheet and filled out the online paperwork & sent it in with a check..Easy.
Now if I ever have to actually use it..thats where the real questions will
come in....trying to collect on it...
