a thought. rare, true, but it does sometimes happen ... ;)
and i don't know why we haven't thought of this before ...

since we have Freebie Frydayes, where most anything can be discussed,
and the strictness of topic is not enforced to a large extent,
why not have other days where topics ARE enforced ...

for example,

Mondays, Tuesdays are tech days. only such things as modifications to
engines, transmissions,
cv joints, wiring, etc. even philosophizing about such modifications
... that is, is it gooder or badder to do such things on a 1987 syncro
camper, or would it be worth doing at all?

Wednesdays and Thursdays could be repair days ... how i repaired The
Big Problem on my bus.

Fridays are already taken.

Saturdays and Sundays are very slow days for list traffic, so they
could be ... maybe trip reports or tire stories or something else, but
definitely related to vanagons and vws in general.

and, of course, help-needed messages (and replies) are always allowed
and encouraged.

something along those lines, anyway.

maybe only Mondays for true Tech Day, and Tuesdays might be Conversion
Engine Tech Day.
or some such.
