My ultimate way of doing this is a a small torch like the ones you can buy at Advance Auto. Heat the center of the hub area between the studs in a circular motion with the torch for about 30 seconds. You will hear a "pop" sound. The drum will slide right off with no prying whatsoever. I fought with these for years and finally learned this trick. It works every time. Sometimes you have to give it a little more heating time than others but it will work believe me. Beats the heck out of prying and hammering (my old way).
