Twelve years ago:
23 y.o son.
Trip with gf of the moment from east Oregon to Portland and back over a
weekend. (About 600-700 miles) Well maintained V'gon.
Following w/e spent R&R'ing the clutch. (And flywheel...)

Call me cynical.  He can get his own damned Vanagon if that's what he wants.

He now drives a Chrysler sh*tbox.  MUCH better choice for him. And for me.
