Subject:16" Tire recommendations

Hi Folks:

Finally got myself a set of Mercedes rims that I'm happy with. Wasn't so happy about enlarging the holes from 12 to 14 mm, what a job as the drill bit tends to catch the edges of the hole, so you have to go extremely slow with light pressure, which ends up taking about 10 minutes per hole or better. Anyway, now moving my attention to tires. Looking for a summer or possibly all season radial. I know that Go Westy recommends the Michelin Hydroedge, Sears was pushing the Goodyear triple cut as superior, but I'm sure there's all kinds of options. Anybody have any recommendations as to what to buy and what to steer clear of? I'm in absolutely no hurry, so if I know of particular brand I can possibly wait for a sale. I was also going to go with the 215/60/16 unless somebody gives me a good reason not to.

Lastly, looking for an inexpensive source to purchase longer studs for the rears. Suggestions? I think I will use Chris (loogy) from the Samba for the front bolts and spacers. The guy is a wealth of knowledge and has gone out of his way to help me. Even though he's a little more expensive I like to support this kind of individual. He does not sell the studs however.

Thanks,

Troy
