Subject:Fuel Injection Discussions

In the recent discussions about fuel injection systems and diagnosis mention
was made about using WD40 or some other silicone spray on fuel system
components. It should be noted that silicone, whether in an aerosol or in
gasket material, that gets ingested into the intake will damage, permanently
the O2 sensor. Another source of contamination is if the sensor is sprayed
directly with a silicone based spray, O2 sensor breathe in fresh air as part
of their function, breathing in air with just a trace of silicone will kill
them.

Just a heads up when youre getting ready for your summer trips :-)
