Deisel and turbo diesel including pumpers and Tiicos) and may have used
2.1's he pulled before conversions.

hi all,

i am looking for a replacement engine for my '86 westy that just blew
a piston ring.  i'm not interested in doing a rebuild or an engine
swap in this chassis due to rust issues, but i would like to keep her
on the road for a little while longer without dipping too far into my
"sychro fund".

thus i am hoping to find a used donor engine from a wrecked van or
someone doing a swap.  i am in san francisco and would prefer to deal
with someone else in the bay area.  i could probably find a truck to
come pick the engine up.  a big plus if i could see it in the vehicle
before it's removed in order to test compression or even drive it if
the situation permits.
